LAFFUE makes the pieces you’d wear every week, cut for longer proportions. Good fabric, a considered cut and real attention to how things are made. The length should be the least remarkable thing about them. We know it isn’t.
This isn’t a tall range. There’s a misconception that you have to be tall to need more length, and it’s rarely that simple. You might be 5’7” or 6’3”. You might have a longer body, longer legs or longer arms. We extend everything in length and design for it from the outset, so it’s never just a few extra inches added to the end.
For now, our pieces come in one generous length, because you can take length away but you can’t add it back. A nice problem to have, and probably one you’ve never had before. We hope to add more lengths as we grow.
Based in Scotland, we work with specialists across the UK, Europe and China to make the pieces that have been missing for too long. The aim is to make getting dressed feel easy and enjoyable for women who’ve spent years choosing from too little.
A note from our founder.
I’m Pepe, founder of LAFFUE. At 5’11” with a 35” inside leg, I’ve loved fashion my whole life, but what I could wear usually came down to what would fit. A fairly uninspiring way to build a wardrobe.
I got tired of waiting for someone to make the pieces that should already exist. The simple, go-to garments every woman deserves in her wardrobe, somehow still elusive in longer proportions.
Before making anything, I spoke to over 200 women. Different heights, same story: almost right, never quite.
There were options at the fast-fashion end of the market. But the brands I actually wanted to shop from, the independents with great style, rarely catered for longer proportions. I couldn’t find anyone making the pieces I wanted to keep: everyday staples you wear, rewear and still love.
So that’s where we’re starting, with the pieces that were hardest to find: satin and cashmere. This is just the beginning. There’s plenty more to come.
Made to be worn. A lot.
We’re not making heirlooms. Nothing here is meant to live in tissue paper or be saved for best. LAFFUE is for Mondays, long-haul flights, dinner and nipping out for milk. If you wear something of ours to death, we’ve done our job.
The shapes you love will come back season after season, in new colours and fabrics. Once you’ve found your favourites, you know they’ll fit. We’re starting with the essentials, because they’re the hardest to find, and adding a few special pieces along the way.
